Onion, Garlic And Herb Bread

1/3 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove -- minced
2 teaspoon butter or margarine
3/4 cup water -- plus
2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoon minced fresh herbs
2 cups Robin Hood Best for Bread
homestyle white flour
2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon Robin Hood/SAF Perfect Rise Gourmet Yeast
=== LARGE LOAF - 1 1/2 to 2 lb MACHINE ===
2/3 cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves -- minced
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup water -- plus
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon fresh herbs -- minced
3 cups Robin Hood Best for Bread
homestyle white flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon Robin Hood/SAF Perfect Rise Gourmet Yeast

Sauté the onions and garlic in butter or margarine until tender. Cool to
room temperature. Add to bread machine, along with other ingredients in
the order recommended by your machine's manufacturer. Select Basic White
Cycle.

Tips: Try fresh thyme, basil, rosemary or oregano. Replace fresh herbs
with dried: 3/4 teaspoon for small loaf or 1 teaspoon for large.

This recipe yields 1 loaf.
