Cracked Wheat Bread II
Ingredients:

3/4 cup cracked wheat
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 package active dry yeast
1 cup boiling water
1/3 cup water
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

In large bowl combine cracked wheat, brown sugar, salt, butter and boiling
water. Mix well and allow to cool.

Place all ingredients into bread pan in the order recommended by your
machine's manufacturer treating the cracked wheat mixture as liquid. Add
cold water to cracked wheat and make sure it is not overly hot. If too
hot it will kill the yeast. Process on the Raisin Bread cycle, adding
raisins near the end of the last knead.

This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.

Comments: You can use either all all-purpose flour or all bread flour but
this bread has better texture using half and half.
